ROLL-STAK Mandrel Handling Management Systems are designed to handle rolls, drums, or shafts up to 10,000 lbs. Many times rolls, drums, and shafts have surfaces that cannot be touched and handling them can be a problem when using fork-lifts. With a ROLL-STAK Mandrel Handling Management System handling and storage keeps the surface clean and free from damage.
Typically rolls, drums and shafts are stored in crates designed to support these items by there mandrels to prevent damage to the surfaces. And many companies pile these crates on top of each other in order to save floor space. When locating the proper roll for a roll change, fork-lift operators need to find the roll than usually unstack several crates to get to the roll they need. After they locate the roll, they need to open the crate, wrap slings around the mandrels, then lift them out of the crate with a fork-lift.
