Limited space to store and organize incoming raw material. Narrow aisle forklift. One (1) fully-motorized 5,500 lb. Capacity stacker system # 5.5C-333-196-5079-17 In an area of 7,003 square feet the customer is able to store all in coming raw material. The motorized adjustable roll cradle allows them to handle rolls ranging from 20” diameter x 50” long rolls up to 50” diameter x 79” long rolls weighing from 1,500 lbs up to 5,500 lbs. To assist in loading and unloading of the rolls, a dual camera alignment system was installed on the roll cradle carriage. Images are viewed through a split screen monitor in the cab assembly. The operator is able to view the position of the cradle arms in relation to the product & rack at all times, even when at the max pick height of 14’-7”. A 12’-0” aisle width was required to handle the product leaving only a few inches on either side of the aisle for operation. This was safely accomplished through use of a plc based zoning package. Some of the features of this package included center of aisle interlock, bay centering, trolley forward and reverse interlocked stops and end of aisle crossover interlocks as well as 90 degree rotation interlocks. All features included an indicator light at the control station located in the man-aboard cab assembly informing the operator when it was safe to maneuver. The system also included end of travel slow down limit switches for the bridge travel and trolley travel. The stacker system addressed three of the customer’s problems:
