Existing mold storage was allocated for more production equipment. A much smaller but taller area was set aside for mold storage.
Counter balance fork lift & narrow aisle fork lift. Long term maintenance costs as well as storage of the lifts while not in use was an issue.

By maximizing the use of the areas vertical space, 21’-0” clear height available, we are able to store 936 molds in 6,171 square feet. A fully motorized stacker crane allows all types of individuals to be able to store or retrieve a mold without the assistance of another person or forklift operator thus improving employee productivity. With the stackers as an integral part of the storage system there is no worry of lifting equipment not being available when a mold is required.
