The customer had a space available that was less than 500 square feet and was surrounded by production equipment. Space was at a premium.
A vertical carousel would not allow them to transfer material both at floor level and to and from the mezzanine. The customer also considered extending their existing mezzanine but that alone would not provide for enough storage space.
One (1) fully motorized 2,000 lb. Capacity Prostak system #P2B-333-252.5-4848-5 with model #VPA video camera pallet alignment system.
The removable and adjustable captive steel pallets of the Prostak system provide the best in storage density allowing for various sized material to be stored in a the same system without wasted space between loads. Prostak system also made full use of the available vertical height. The Prostak system provides storage for (54) 48” wide x 48” deep pallets with an overall system height of 23’-9” in an area less than 450 sq. Feet.
The system also includes a special section where the stacker crane will load/unload items to and from the overhead mezzanine. Operators use the vpa (video camera pallet alignment system) to accurately and safely transfer pallets at the high pallet positions and through the transfer bay to the overhead mezzanine.
The Prostak system addressed three of the customers problems:
